Our Founder

Laura Burgess is a writer and editor with over ten years of experience in the food and beverage industry. A Certified Sommelier with extensive winemaking experience, Laura brings a full-circle understanding of the wine industry to the table, and specializes in translating complex topics into engaging, easy-to-read stories. After several years as a drinks-focused journalist and an e-commerce content strategist, she has an in-depth knowledge of the challenges facing producers, retailers, and consumers—and the skills to help. Her work has been featured in SevenfiftyDaily, Vinepair, Christie’s Luxury Real Estate Magazine, and Real Simple, among others.  Today, she lives and works from a vineyard in California’s Sierra Foothills.
